Get a break from the heat and come learn all about the JDRF One Walk!

Are you a newly diagnosed family looking to make an impact? Are you a veteran One Walk Team looking for new ideas? Join us on Saturday, June 16^th for the JDRF One Walk Kick off where you will learn everything from what to expect on walk day, how YOU can drive T1D research and have a chance to meet other T1D families.

Dr. Prakasam, Sacramento area’s leading endocrinologist, will be discussing the importance of surrounding yourself and your family with support and becoming part of a community.

Additionally, two of our T1D families will present information from their walk experiences. Tricia and Jackson Manning created “Team Manning: Insulin it to Win It” for the first time last year and will share what a new team can expect leading up to and on walk day.

“Michael’s Crew” has been a top fundraising team for over 11 years. They will offer ideas from their years of experience that has enabled them to reach high levels of success in both dollars raised and team member participation.

After the program, enjoy a private screening of Paddington 2.  Be sure to bring your Rufus bear or any other stuffed fuzzy friend to join you!

The event will take place at the Guild Theater located at 2828 35th St, Sacramento, CA 95817 from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon.  Parking is available in the adjacent parking lot as well as metered/ free street parking.
