Greg Vaughn Hosts 3rd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament

in ,

Join former major-league baseball player Greg Vaughn in an exciting day of golf supporting JDRF! The third annual Greg Vaughn Celebrity Golf Tournament offers attendees the chance to play with all-star athletes and entertainers all while raising money to “strike out” Type 1 Diabetes. Presented by Mercedes Benz and sponsored by an array of regional and national businesses, this popular event aims to directly benefit the T1D community through advocacy, awareness, and fundraising.

This year’s tournament will take place on October 26th at the Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, preceded with an exclusive VIP cocktail mixer at Thunder Valley the evening before. Tournament sponsors receive a variety of benefits depending on their level of contribution including first choice of celebrity pairing, autographed memorabilia, and promotional tables at the tournament. Individuals can also register as foursomes with packages ranging from $1,500 to $3,000.  All proceeds from the tournament will directly fund life-saving T1D research.

Registration fees cover a playing position for each member, a delicious breakfast and lunch, on course entertainment and a celebratory dinner immediately following the tournament. Additionally, each foursome is paired with a celebrity partner.  Last year’s list of all-star athletes included Gary Payton, Gary Sheffield, J.T. Snow, and Ickey Woods, just to name a few.  In addition, the top two winners of the Mercedes Benz Shoot-out will advance directly to the Mercedes Benz National Final Tournament at AAA Four Diamond Four Seasons Resort and Club in Las Colinas, TX December 2-5, 2018.

As a member of the JDRF Northern CA Inland Chapter Board and the father of a T1D son, Greg Vaughn is a passionate advocate for the T1D community.  He invites golfers of all skill levels to join him in this truly special event. This tournament sells out every year, so be sure to secure your spot today! For more information, please visit http://www.gregvaughn23.com/ or contact Elizabeth Dixon at (916) 576-1379.
