JDRF Social Rides are heating up for Summer!
During the summer months of June, July, and August there will be TWO SOCIAL RIDES!
Upcoming Social Ride Schedule
June 8 & 22
July 13 & 27
August 10 & 17
All rides are on Saturday and begin at 9:00 am and conclude by noon, covering 25-30 miles along the American River Trail. Everyone is welcome (all ages and riding abilities) and all you need is a bicycle, helmet, and water. The rides start from the Wells Fargo Bank Parking Lot located at 2010 Gold Field Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.
Social Rides are a great place to meet other people interested in cycling and who have a type 1 diabetes connection. You can also learn about the JDRF Ride to Cure program from riders who have participated in the past.
Ride Coach Steve Meece will be leading each Social Ride and can offer helpful cycling tips for a great experience. Steve has served as Ride Coach for the JDRF Northern California Chapter since 2012 and participated in JDRF Ride to Cure’s in Tahoe, Death Valley, Amelia Island, Sonoma and Saratoga Springs. He is certified through USA Cycling and First Aid/ CPR trained.
