Each year at the JDRF Tee to Table event, the Impact Award is presented to community members who are exceptionally committed to the JDRF mission to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. The 2022 honorees, Carol Sisney and Kelly Sisney Clark, were selected for their extraordinary dedication to JDRF and to the health and well-being of the T1D community. They will receive the award at the Tee to Table event on May 13, 2022 at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay.

Carol and her daughter Kelly have been longtime supporters of JDRF since Kelly was diagnosed with T1D at the age of twelve in 2002. Carol says, “Fortunately for Kelly, we caught her disease early and she did not have to be hospitalized. However, that’s not to say that Kelly’s journey has been easy. With the help of JDRF, multiple doctors, and the latest in medical technology, Kelly has thrived in spite of her disease.”  Kelly has since graduated from business school, is now a Silicon Valley tech professional, and married Chris Clark last summer.

The Sisneys have supported JDRF and our mission in numerous and vastly impactful ways. They have provided sponsorships and donated countless bottles of distinctive wines from their Lucia Highlands vineyard to all our signature social events, including Tee to Table, Hope Gala, and Summer Classic. They have also offered their luxurious vacation time-share to many live auction items benefiting JDRF. Carol has served on the Tee to Table committee for many years and launched the tennis tournament for the event in 2016. Kelly is an enthusiastic member of the JDRF Young Leadership Committee (YLC) and chaired the 2019 JDRF One Walk Walktoberfest in San Francisco.
