With Spring right around the corner it’s time to
dust off your bike and move your cycling outdoors!
Join JDRF Northern California for an upcoming ride and share the trail with fellow riders from the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.
This Sunday March 8 will be the first ride of the season! Meet at Kinetic Cycles parking lot (535 La Sierra Dr, Sacramento, California 95864) at 9:00AM for a no-drop 15-20 mile ride along the American River Trial.
New for 2020, there will be even more ride opportunities for you! Join members of JDRF Northern California Chapter’s Ride Team NorCal for a Social Ride or Training Ride from April through November.
On the first Saturday of each month beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding by noon ride along the American River Trail for a 25-30 mile ride. Riders of all ages and skill levels are invited. Meet at the Wells Fargo Bank Parking Lot located at 2010 Gold Field Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.
For those more experienced cyclists or for those that have registered for a 2020 JDRF Ride, meet for a ride twice a month on the second Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and the fourth Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Location of Training Rides will vary. Ride Coach Steve Meece is available for all Training Rides offering helpful tips and coaching guidance. He is certified through USA Cycling and First Aid/ CPR trained.
These rides are a great place to meet other people interested in cycling and who may have a T1D connection. You can also learn about the JDRF Ride to Cure program from riders who have participated in the past. No commitment to participate in Ride to Cure is required or expected from your participation.

The 2020 JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes is a destination cycling event that takes place in six stunning locations across the United States. Cyclists of all skill levels come together to raise funds for JDRF—the leading global organization funding T1D research—and to take part in a weekend-long celebration that leads up to the one-day Ride.
