JDRF Northern California Chapter Welcomes New Members to our Community Board

ISPAD-JDRF Research Fellowships Announced

The International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) aims to promote research, education, and advocacy in children, adolescents, and young adults with diabetes—across the globe. The ISPAD-JDRF Research Fellowships provide $25,000 to people under the age of 40 who wish to pursue a career in diabetes related research. Read about the winners.

California Plans to Manufacture Affordable Insulin

In his most recent budget adopted by the state of California, Governor Gavin Newsom announced a plan for the state to manufacture its own insulin, sell it at close to the cost of manufacturing, and make it available to every California resident who needs it regardless of their insurance status. Fill Up at The Giving Pump/Cox Family Stores in NorCal Communities: August 1st – October 31st

Cox Family Stores and Shell have partnered on a philanthropic initiative – The Giving Pump. Now through October 31st, at select stations around NorCal communities, simply fill up at the The Giving Pump and a portion of your purchase will be donated to JDRF. The Cox family is personally affected by T1D and is passionate about supporting JDRF. Read more and see participating stations.

JDRF Game2Give, Game Over, T1D! Live stream content creators and T1D community members from around the world will host charity streams from July 1 – August 31, culminating with a 10-day livestream event from Aug 19–28. Learn more and play.

Sacramento Family & Caregivers Meet-Up – September 4, 2022, 2-4pm, Harry Crab Park, Roseville. This event will repeat every 3 months on the first Sunday. Learn more.

JDRF Hope Gala – September 24, 2022, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. Presented by Abbott – makers of the FreeStyle Libre® system.
