Social Rides are a great place to meet other people interested in cycling and who have a type 1 diabetes connection. You can also learn about the JDRF Ride to Cure program from riders who have participated in the past. No commitment to participate in Ride to Cure is required or expected from your participation in the Social Rides.
All rides begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by noon, covering 25-30 miles along the American River Trail. The rides start from the Wells Fargo Bank Parking Lot located at 2010 Gold Field Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Ride Coach Steve Meece is available for all social rides offering helpful cycling tips for a great experience. Steve has served as Ride Coach for the JDRF Northern California Chapter since 2012 and participated in JDRF Ride to Cure’s in Tahoe, Death Valley, Amelia Island, Sonoma and Saratoga Springs. He is certified through USA Cycling and First Aid/ CPR trained.
The rides will take place on the second Saturday of the month with additional dates just added in June, July and August – December 8th, January 12th, February 9th, March 9th, April 13th, May 11th, June 8th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th August 10th, and August 17th.
