Ride with Team North Carolina @ the Labonte Roubaix benefitting JDRF!

in ,

JDRF is joining forces with 2000 NASCAR Cup Champion and Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte, and his wife, three-time US National Champion and retired pro-cyclist, Kristin for the Labonte Roubaix! We are excited to offer this local ride as an opportunity to connect with the JDRF Ride community. As the official charity partner, all proceeds from the event will be donated to JDRF!

Paris-Roubaix (pronounced roo-bay) is arguably the most legendary and iconic one-day professional cycling race in the world. Known as a race for only the strongest of cyclists, the finish on the track in Roubaix is by far the most epic finish in all of cycling! The Labonte Roubaix will start at the infamous Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina, and roll out of Winston-Salem toward High Point, with two route options and stocked rest stops along the way.

The fully supported ride will finish with a final lap on the track at Bowman Gray Stadium under the checkered flag, hence a Roubaix-style finish–the only one of its kind in the Southeastern US!

To complete the experience, celebrations will be held on Friday and Saturday, discounted hotel rates will be available, and local JDRF staff and volunteers will be on-site at a specially designated JDRF Ride area. Saturday night’s celebrations will even include fun for the whole family at the racetrack!

The Labonte Roubaix offers a fun version of this legendary experience with two distance options:

  • The Roubaix Lite: 35-mile ride or,
  • The Full Roubaix: 62-mile ride
  • The entry fee is to $45. Day of registration fee on Saturday, August 21st is $50.
