As we Adventure Toward A Cure through the 2021 Walk Season, JDRF North Carolina will be issuing challenges along the way! Any individual who completes a challenge will be entered into a drawing for a YETI cooler!* Individuals are encouraged to participate in more than one challenge for more entries into the drawing (each challenge completed = an entry into the drawing). A winner will be drawn on Monday, November 1, 2021.**

Registration Challenge (May 25th – June 11)

Register your team by June 11^th and the team captain will receive a $100 donation thank you to our registration challenge sponsors, Brothers Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing and HealthTeam Advantage!

Facebook Challenge (June 12 – June 30)

Connect and share your walk page to Facebook! Be sure to share your story as to why you walk using #WhyIWalkNC

Flat Rufus (July 1 – July 31)

Please send a picture of yourself and Flat Rufus in your hometown, or the place that you visit! If you can’t get a picture taken with him, please send us a picture post card. Tag us on social @JDRFNC on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with Flat Rufus! Be sure to use #WhyIWalkNC

T1D Trailblazer (August 1 – August 15)

We all know that it takes a village to help manage T1D. We want you to nominate someone in your life who has made a big impact on your life! It can be anyone – your endocrinologist, Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), school nurse, a parent, relative, close friend, anyone! We will be recognizing and honoring these T1D Trailblazers at each of our JDRF Walk Celebrations in October. Deadline to submit a nomination is August 15, 2021.
