What a great turnout we had on December 16th for our T1D101 – Basic Training for Grandparents and Caregivers on Zoom!   Leading the training was Dr. Henry Rodriguez, Clinical Director with the USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, and Janet Rodriguez, CDE, Certified Insulin Pump and CGM Specialist, also with the USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Tampa. We were so thankful to them for sharing their time and expertise with so many grandparents and caregivers who joined the meeting.  As leading experts in the T1D field, they shared the basic skills and knowledge necessary to care for our T1D loved ones. Caring for a newly diagnosed T1D child can be scary for many and we hope this session helped alleviate some of that fear and anxiety.
