Florida Diabetes Camp – All Florida Diabetes Camp programs are open to any child with type 1 diabetes, and while attending camp, they are under the direct supervision of pediatric endocrinologists from around the state who volunteer at various programs. Campers are placed in cabins according to age/grade/sex and have trained counselors accompanying them 24 hours a day. In addition, all camps feature a variety of land and water activities and age-appropriate diabetes education.

  • Fun Sports Camp (Ages 15 to 18); June 12 – 17 – Rotary’s Camp Florida in Brandon, FL

  • Cycling Adventure Camp (Ages 15 to 18); June 20th to 25th; Begins in North Central Florida

  • “Pee-Wee” Camp (Ages 5 to 9); June 19th to 24th; Rotary’s Camp Florida in Brandon, FL

  • Camp Winona Session 1 (Ages 12 to 14); July 17th to 24th; YMCA Camp Winona in Deland, FL

  • Camp Winona Session 2 (Ages 9 to 12); July 30th to August 6th; YMCA Camp Winona in Deland, FL

Camp Coral Kids (Ages 6 to 12); June 13th-24th, 2022; Location TBD

For more than 25 years, Broward Health Coral Springs has been the home of South Florida’s only day camp for children with diabetes. At Camp Coral Kids, children ages 6 – 12 years old can connect with other children who understand what they are going through in a fun, educational, and medically supervised environment. Friends for Life Conference; July 5th to 10th; Orlando, FL

Children with diabetes will host their 23rd annual Friends for Life conference in Orlando, Florida! Join the dedicated group of world-renowned faculty, adults, children, and families with diabetes—including siblings and children of adults with type 1 diabetes—for a great weekend of education and support. Attend educational sessions with cutting-edge diabetes management ideas. Participate in discussion groups, share your story, and help motivate and support others who walk in similar shoes. Watch kids and teens, college students and professionals, young parents and grandparents, and new and practiced diabetes clinicians make new and lifelong friendships. TYPE1TIMER HOCKEY CAMP; August 10th to 12th ; Estero, FL

A non-profit hockey camp exclusively for youths living with type 1 diabetes. This 3-day camp will feature elite hockey instruction, diabetes education, and fun, community-building events. More than hockey, Type 1 Timer aims to bring together families and players who can understand what it’s like. Great days at camp will be followed by fun evening activities, allowing friendships to grow beyond just 3 days of camp!
