Help JDRF Reach the One Walk Finish Line!

Thank you to each and every participant, donor, walker, sharer, liker and commenter during our Virtual One Walk Event on April 18th! It was incredible to see all the posts, pictures and support that the teams, sponsors, individual walkers and families shared. Please visit the North Florida Chapter Facebook page if you haven’t already to check out all the FUN! Scroll down to the April 18th posts. https://www.facebook.com/JDRFNorthflorida/?ref=bookmarks

Our goal was to raise $400,000 for the Jacksonville 2020 One Walk. As of right now, we are falling short. But we are NOT done yet and hope that you will continue to help JDRF keep the mission moving forward. The website is still accepting donations and will continue through June 30th. Here are a couple post-Walk tips that can make a big impact:

  • Post your virtual walk day pictures on your Facebook page with your walk team link! And share via Facebook fundraiser.
  • Check out your company’s matching gifts program and make your fundraising efforts go farther. They may match your donation or a portion of what you raised. To learn if your company has a matching gifts program, check out our Matching Gifts page. When you submit the matching gift, make sure to indicate your name or team name.
  • Keep fundraising and earn an incentive! JDRF offers incentives to walkers who raise $250 or more. To be eligible, an individual walker must have the minimum $250 aligned to them on their fundraising page. Everyone who qualifies for an incentive will be able to choose one item from our JDRF One Walk selection as a thank you from us. Please note: Incentive prize redemption emails will be sent out on June 17th. Please turn in all checks, cash or collect remaining online donations by Friday, June 15th for this program.
  • The success of JDRF One Walk is truly about individuals, like you. You are one of JDRF’s dedicated supporters, who want to make life better for those with T1D. Thank you for being a part of this year’s event and helping JDRF keep the promising pathways towards cures.
