Here’s How You Can Help with the JDRF Miracles Gala Auction

One of the greatest needs we have for the upcoming 20^th Anniversary JDRF Miracles Gala, Re-Imagined and Closer to Home, is auction items! On gala night, guests will shop the auction from their mobile device. We are working hard behind the scenes to put together a variety of auction items that will raise money to advance JDRF’s mission of improving lives and curing type 1 diabetes. Below are some ways YOU can help!

**And, don’t forget, you can always go in with another family to contribute an item… Or, gather friends from work, or neighbors to put something together too.

1. Put together a package that represents you and your family’s interest. For instance – fishing, beach, technology, dining out, concerts, photography, cooking – Here is a sample list of baskets that have done well in the past to get your creative juices flowing. If you do decide to do a themed package, let us know and we’ll put your family’s name by that theme so someone else doesn’t have the same one. And, get creative…. Invite your neighbors or friends to participate in contributing to your basket! When your package is complete, please fill out a Auction Form to provide a full description, and a Family Form sharing info about your T1D champion that we can spotlight in the auction!
2. Shop our Amazon Wish list where you can purchase a donation, and have it shipped directly to JDRF. The planning committee is constantly updating this list so, check back often for ideas.
3. Think about where you dine, shop, get services…. Ask them to make a donation to JDRF in your honor. (Here is an auction donation sample letter and Auction Form you can provide them to help ensure we promote their donation appropriately).
4. Live Auction – If you, your company or family have connections to any type of unique experience, travel, something with a “wow” factor and are willing to contribute, we would love to talk to you! We are working on creating an amazing array of 3-4 live auction items to showcase during the gala and always need help! (Some past successful items have included: Chef’s in home experience, Behind the Scenes of the TODAY Show experience, Macy’s Parade, African Safari Trip, Air BnB rental for a week in a fun location, Private plane to Bahamas, Fishing trip)
