What a fantastic fundraiser for Hana’s Hope! This past Saturday, The Chuang Family hosted an incredible event featuring father and daughter on stage jamming out and bringing a community of JDRF supporters together. Below, Risa Chuang shares her comments on this successful and impactful third party event.

“We had a great turnout! Many friends, family and colleagues of band members came to support the cause. They were especially excited to see Hana play on stage with her dad. My favorite part was seeing how everyone came together to show their support for our family. It was clear that it wasn’t just about Hana, it was about helping people living with this disease Hana was representing the T1 D community. I thanked everyone for coming and said: 12 years ago Hana was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Since then, JDRF has been an instrumental part of our lives and has provided much needed as well as many opportunities for Hana to thrive as an advocate. We couldn’t have done it without them. The money raised her tonight will go towards research and development of new technology, medicine and public policies that will help to improve the quality of life for those living with this disease – and eventually a cure.”
