The Oregon/SW Washington community stepped up to the challenge of raising funds for JDRF on Saturday April 22nd at the Sentinel Hotel in Portland. With the leadership of the Gala Chairs, Larry and Suzanne Mackin, and this year’s Honorees, Peter Ferré and Ginny Ferré, the event raised $725,000! The event started with a fun silent auction featuring Hope Baskets put together from kids and their families who have been impacted with type one diabetes. The exclusive Wine & Spirits auction room did not disappoint, and many bottles of hard-to-find bourbons and delicious wines brought some fierce mobile bidding action.
