JDRF & Lokai Enter Second Year Of Partnership To Continue Bringing Balance To Those Living With and Affected By Type 1 Diabetes

The Diabetes Lokai bracelet provides wearers with a daily reminder to find balance through life’s highs and lows. 

July 1, 2020 – New York, NY – One year ago, Lokai and JDRF joined together with the launch of the Diabetes Lokai bracelet. Infused with water from Mt Everest in the white bead and mud from the Dead Sea in the black bead, the periwinkle bracelet serves as a daily reminder for those living with and affected by diabetes to find their balance through life’s highs and lows. Today, Lokai and JDRF announced that the partnership will continue into a second year.

To date, sales of the Diabetes Lokai bracelet have raised more than $30,000 in support of JDRF’s mission to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications. Beyond the monetary impact, however, this collaboration has brought the important reminder of finding balance to the type 1 diabetes community – to which the concept of mediating highs and lows resonates quite literally.
