JDRF Type One Nation Rocky Mountain 2020

Type One Nation is a free, all-day educational summit for anyone impacted by T1D. Adult T1Ds, parents and supporters can attend sessions specific to nutrition, mental health, sports, and technology just to name a few. Children ages 3-11 are invited to enjoy a fun-filled day at KidNation, which features arts and crafts, special guest presentations, and diabetes education activities. For our audience ages 12-17, our Teen Nation full-day program will be offered featuring fun games, technology, trivia and more! Siblings welcome in all sessions! Check registered children in to Kids Camp and Teen Central (8:00am-3:30pm) Parent or guardian must be registered and on-site during Kids Camp and Teen Central.
Kids Camp: Kids Camp provides an opportunity for parents to enjoy the main program presentations while their kids enjoy a variety of supervised age-appropriate art, activities, yoga, and T1D education and stories. Snacks will be provided. Parents must pick up children during the lunch break. Suitable for kids ages 4-11.
Teen Central: For teens and their siblings or friends with T1D, Teen Central provides the perfect opportunity for teens to hang out, meet other T1D teens, play games, enjoy various activities and hear from other young adults who “get it”. Facilitated by the JDRF Rocky Mountain YLC young professionals board, the day is sure to be fun and inspirational for teens. Snacks will be provided. Teen sessions will break for lunch at 12:00 and restart at 1:15pm. Suitable for teens ages 12-17.

Where should I park for the event?
The Education South I & II buildings are located behind Children’s Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus. the Kiowa Parking lot and Julesburg Parking lot will be available for Type One Nation attendees. To See a Campus map, click here.
Please DO NOT Parking in the Barbara Davis Center Lot for these event. You can enter the campus the same way you would for the Barbara Davis Center, however instead of turning left on 17th from Aurora Court to the Barbara Davis Center, you will turn right onto 17th Avenue and the Kiowa parking lot is located just after the second roundabout on your left hand side.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring your diabetes supplies, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Attire is casual.
Will tickets be sent to me?
No. You will check in at event registration by your last name.
Is there a room rate?
