On Saturday March 25, 13 riders comprised of some of the San Diego JDRF ride team and special guests Erik Douds and Annalisa van den Bergh went for a 23 mile ride down the Coronado Strand. Accompanied by blue sunny skies and a cool breeze in both directions, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! Out of the 13 riders, we had 4 riders with T1D with the youngest being 13 years old!
The team was excited to have Erik and Annalisa riding along us. Both have T1D and have crossed the United States by bicycle! They are currently on an REI tour, promoting their latest project – Miles of Portraits. It is a combination of film and magazine, chronicling their adventures as they cycle through the nation, highlighting the amazing people they meet along their journey.
