Oliver Shane was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on May 2, 2020.  The diagnosis would have been two months earlier if his mom hadn’t been in denial. This blog started out as a diary to help cope with a new disease. Oliver hopes the blog provides a teen’s perspective to help other kids with Type 1 and anyone else who supports those with Type 1. Every type 1 champion has their own journey, and he hopes to share his story benefits the community.
