This Fall’s JDRF One Walk will be a part of our first nationwide endeavor and our largest goal yet. We’ll walk together from wherever we are to form the biggest JDRF One Walk this community has ever seen! We’re committing to walk 1.6 million miles by November 1st, in support of the 1.6 million Americans living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and raising $50 million dollars to recognize 50 years of progress and impact at JDRF. On T1Day (November 1st), we’ll count up all the miles and come together virtually to celebrate our stories, collective accomplishments and recognize the 1.6 million people who we’re changing the future for. Join us in walking the distance for our community.

ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS
Throughout the One Walk season, JDRF will issue challenges that may include incentives for your team and will help you reach both your miles and fundraising goals. These challenges promise to make your walk season a fun family event, as well as motivate all those living impacted by T1D.
– Match Challenge
– Registration Challenge
– Fitness Challenge
The fundraising goal that we set for our Walk is directly tied to JDRF’s need for research dollars to prevent, treat and cure type 1 diabetes. JDRF relies on revenue from our events to ensure the continuation and progression of critical research that will one day lead to a cure for the T1D community. Until that day, it is crucial that we continue to push forward to reach these goals, even if our Walk is virtual, so that we can fund the many promising research studies which will change the lives of millions of families. With your help, we can continue our fight for a world without T1D—more than ever—with greater urgency, dedication and commitment.
HOW DO I FUNDRAISE FOR A VIRTUAL WALK?
JDRF One Walk has always been, and still is, a day to celebrate and recognize our T1D community and their ability to help impact life changing research by fundraising. A shift away from in person events just means that Walk Day gets re-imagined and we fundraise and celebrate in new, creative and virtual ways. Many of you have requested sample language to use in your fundraising efforts and we have compiled lots of those samples. For messages that you can use to share via email, text, social media, and beyond – email Amanda Nguyen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
V1P’s + FUNDRAISING INCENTIVE DETAILS
All money raised at the JDRF One Walk will support research to improve the lives and help find a cure for people living with type 1 diabetes.
When you fundraise for JDRF One Walk, you help get us closer to a world without T1D. To thank you for all your hard work, we offer some great fundraising rewards. After your final donations are tallied, you can select a reward based on your fundraising total. There are multiple levels starting at just $250 and the more you raise, the more options you can choose from. Check them out here!
