The JDRF South Jersey Chapter would like to welcome following members to the Board:

• Dr. Shara Bialo– Dr. Shara Bialo is passionate about diabetes advocacy and research as both a person with type 1 diabetes since age 9 years and a physician. Shara was previously involved in community outreach with the Rhode Island JDRF chapter and was excited to connect with the South Jersey chapter. Since her arrival last year she has enjoyed participating in the Fall walk, speaking at the Summit and a T1D Talk, and attending various JDRF meetings before and after having her first child.
• Marissa Herskovitz– Marissa was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 24, as a young adult. She has 2 beautiful healthy daughters. Marissa serves on our Gala Committee and participates in the JDRF One Walk. Marissa wants to help other Type 1’s, whether its sharing her story or by raising awareness and money to help those live a healthier life and the hope for a cure one day.

Dr. Matt Corcoran has Joined Shore Physicians Group’s Northfield practice.

“I’m excited to join the team at Shore Physicians Group and to work with them to deliver outstanding diabetes care to our community of people living with diabetes in South Jersey.  Through programming and clinical care I am dedicated to helping our patients thrive,” said Dr. Corcoran.

Farewell and Best Wishes to Robin Berger

Robin has announced her resignation and will be leaving her role as Development Director. Robin has been with JDRF for 13 years and has overseen our gala and golf events and most recently took on the lead for the chapter’s ride team.  Please join me in thanking Robin for her years of service and contributions to JDRF and wishing her well in her future endeavors.
