Dayton Action Council

For purposes of organizational efficiency and staff operations, JDRF Southwest Ohio is based in Cincinnati. However, in recognition of the unique attributes of Dayton, JDRF Southwest Ohio believes it is necessary to maintain an organized, effective, local conduit to the Dayton, Ohio area.

Without rising to the level of board commitment, the Dayton Action Council is intended to serve as a connection point for JDRF Southwest Ohio and the Chapterā€™s events, committees and opportunities for involvement. While Dayton Action Council participation may lead to Chapter-wide board membership for willing and appropriate candidates, board membership is not the goal of the Dayton Action Council. Instead, it is the purpose of the Dayton Action Council to reach and engage individuals, families, businesses, healthcare providers and community organizations in the Dayton, Ohio market and to cultivate opportunities that support JDRF.

To carry out this purpose, it is the mission of the Dayton Action Council to: identify willing and positive individuals who are interested in supporting JDRF or who are affected by T1D; engage these individuals in Chapter activities and the creation of events specific to the Dayton, Ohio area; and, build a network of individuals, families, businesses and organizations who are committed to support the better treatment and cure of type 1 diabetes until we reach our ultimate goalā€”a world without T1D.
