Meet the JDRF Virginia Staff!

Hi! We’re the JDRF Virginia. You have probably worked with some of us before, but now that we’re one big team we want to take a moment to tell you a little about ourselves:

 

Amber Mueller– Executive Director

Amber has been with JDRF for 4 years and is our fearless leader!

Fun Fact: I am a twin and have boy/girl 4 year old twins myself!

 

Richmond Based Team

Christina Gunter– Senior Development Manager

Christina has worked for JDRF for 3.5 years is in charge of the black tie gala in Richmond and secures sponsorship for all Richmond-based events.

Fun Fact: I worked in Minor League Baseball before my career in the non-profit world, and I am an avid

Cleveland sports fan and love cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes! O-H!!

 

Anna Pishko– Development Coordinator

Anna has been with JDRF for 2 years and is the lead for the Hampton Roads One Walk.

Fun Fact: I lived in a haunted house in college. The ghost was pretty nice- for a ghost!

 

Anne Sutton– Senior Outreach Manager from Charlotte, NC

*Anne is helping us out with outreach from the Greater Western Carolina Chapter of JDRF*

Anne began her career as a middle school teacher.Ā  When her son Brady was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of three, she left teaching and joined JDRF as a volunteer.Ā  Anne has been an active participant in JDRF ever since, serving in many volunteer roles.Ā  In April of 2015 Anne joined the JDRF staff as an Outreach Manager.Ā  In this position she focuses on creating opportunities for adults and families living with type 1 to engage in JDRF educational, support and mission driven activities.

ā€œI am inspired by the stories of our families and adults living with type 1 diabetes.Ā  Their stories of courage, heroism and bravery push me to help build a stronger community. TOGETHER we will find a cure!ā€
