The JDRF Western and Central Pennsylvania Chapter is proud to announce that the TypeOneNation Summit is back and in-person! What is a TypeOneNation Summit, you ask? It is our annual educational summit that brings together all within the type 1 diabetes community!

Join us on March 4, 2023 at the Carnegie Science Center in Downtown Pittsburgh for a morning full of education, connectivity, and fun. Scroll below to see some highlights and what to expect!

Connect With Fellow Families and T1D’s:

The Summit will begin at 10am, with one hour to mingle, meet and connect with fellow T1D’s and their loved ones. Vendor tables, crafts, and games will be available to enjoy before the programming begins at 11am.

We are grateful to our national industry partners for making the TypeOneNation Summit possible at our chapter. If you want to learn more about our partners, please visit our vendor exhibition or click here.

Learn About The “Evolution” of Diabetes Care:

For those who think weā€™ve failed because we still donā€™t have a ā€œcureā€, think again! Gary Scheiner MS, CDCES, author of “Think Like A Pancreas”, will take you on an amusing (and humbling) tour of where weā€™ve been, where we are, and where weā€™re headed in the treatment of type-1 diabetes, complete with ā€œshow and tellā€. Youā€™ll be amazed at how far weā€™ve come!

About Our Speaker: Gary Scheiner MS, CDCES
