Each year, JDRF Walks bring together more than 900,000 people to change the future for those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) by raising money for research. Many people who walk have T1D themselves, and many more are friends, family or coworkers of someone challenged by this disease. But no matter what their connection is, they walk because they believe in a world where T1D no longer exists—a world where Type One has become Type None.
Schenley Park -- Flagstaff Hill
There is parking available at the CMU parking garage and limited parking in the Morewood lot (corner of Forbes & Morewood).
(Also, it’s a short walk through the CMU campus to Flagstaff Hill).
Additional free parking is available in the East Campus Garage located off Forbes Avenue near CMU’s Gesling Stadium. Another option is the Anderson Playground (off of Panther Hollow Road). If you know of another place you can park you are welcome to do that as well. We are just giving you some ideas.
If you need to drop off participants please do so at the corner of Frew St. & Schenley Drive-near the gazebo prior to 9:00am. For the safety of our walkers, there will be NO PARKING on the Flagstaff Hill side of Schenley Drive (between the Walk site and Phipps Conservatory). Any cars parked in these areas will be ticketed or towed.
