This month we’d like to feature a very special volunteer, Anderson Ploeger. Anderson is 11 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 in 2016. We couldn’t be prouder of him after his outstanding Fund-A-Cure speech at the 2018 Promise Gala on April 28th. Anderson spoke to over 700 attendees, sharing his personal type 1 story with the room—a feat that most kids couldn’t do. But Anderson was poised, well-spoken, and brought the room to tears with his passionate story. Thank you, Anderson! We are so proud of you! The 2018 JDRF Promise Gala raised almost $1.7 million for JDRF’s mission to turn type one into type none!
