Fundraiser Spotlight: West View Elementary

In late March, our friends at West View Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA held another fantastic school fundraiser for JDRF!

The students, staff, and volunteers enjoyed a kickoff assembly where they learned about T1D and how to help cure it. After the assembly, students and staff spent two great weeks fundraising, then capped off their fundraiser with a school-wide ā€œJDRF Kids Walkā€, where they announced that the classroom with the most donations won a pizza party! To help decorate for Walk Day, students colored their very own ā€œWest View JDRF Shoesā€ that were voted on for a special JDRF Coloring Contest. With all of this fun, West View Elementary raised over $3,000 for JDRF!!!!

Weā€™d like to say THANK YOU to every student and staff member at West View for all of your hard work! Special thanks to Kasey Kellum and Carlene Bensch, both amazing volunteers and parents of students with T1D, for organizing another great fundraiser! Great job, West View!
