Western Wisconsin Chapter Welcomes New Executive Director

in ,

The JDRF Western Wisconsin Chapter is thrilled to welcome our new Executive Director, Jennifer Badeau Wickman!

Wickman is an attorney with a 20-year trade association career.  She has extensive experience as a lobbyist and political fundraiser.  She’s worked with boards, regulatory agencies and state and federal legislators.  She has exemplary communication and collaboration skills with a proven record of success.

Jennifer also has a personal connection with Type 1 diabetes.  When her  daughter Stella was diagnosed at just less than two years old, Jennifer quickly found JDRF .  She formed a walk team and soon served her first term on the JDRF Western Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors.  Jennifer twice volunteered to be the chapter advocate for Government Day in Washington DC and later served as chaperone when Stella was a 2015 Children’s Congress Delegate.   Jennifer’s passionately volunteered her time to work for a world without diabetes and now she’s beyond thrilled  to devote her professional career for that goal as well.

Jennifer’s first day in the office will be Monday, February 13. We are so excited to have Jennifer on our team!

Fun fact about Jennifer: before she and her husband Peter had kids, they sailed a 32-foot sailboat along the Pacific coast of Central America and even transited the Panama canal.
