Good Luck Amelia Island and Death Valley Riders!

in ,

The final rides of the 2019 JDRF Ride to Cure season are right around the corner and our Chapter still has a few riders to cheer on! Team Western Wisconsin, better known as the Honey Badgers, has 98 riders registered this year, all participating to help fund life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. These riders have been training and fundraising all summer and and now our last few riders finally have their chance to get on the course.

The JDRF Ride to Cure in Amelia Island will take place on Saturday, October 5th. This ride goes along pristine beaches, over marshlands, and through beautiful maritime forests, making it a very enjoyable ride. Amelia Island riders have raised over $1.5 million already! Good luck to first-time rider, Ryan, and thank you for helping to turn type one into type none!

This classic JDRF Ride has raised nearly $800,000 and still has a few weeks to go! Thank you to all of our Death Valley riders, you are getting us closer to a world without T1D!
