JDRF Western Wisconsin and COVID-19

in ,

Hello All,

What a crazy and weird time we’re all in. We wanted to write a post to tell you that, while our office doors may be closed, we’re very much still up and running from each of our homes, and supporting our community in all the ways we can. With that in mind, here are a few things we wanted to make sure we updated you on.

Contacting the Remote Team

If you need to contact any of the team, all of our contact information, including the phone numbers to best reach us remote can be found on our chapter website. If you have a general chapter question, but you don’t know which team member is most appropriate to contact, you can email westernwi@jdrf.org and we’ll get back to you from there.

JDRF, Type One, and Coronavirus

News about COVID-19 continues to dominate global headlines. As you know, we as a chapter have already had to make some event cancelation decisions in the interest of keeping you all safe.

JDRF has posted a page on our website for Coronavirus and Type 1 Diabetes: What You Need to Know. It features keeping healthy resources, insulin supply chain information, T1D susceptibility to the virus, and more. We provide this information in the interest of helping members of the T1D community make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being. If you still have concerns or questions, we strongly urge you to please contact your physician or healthcare provider.

Staying Involved

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that we continue our mission of finding a cure to Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Keeping that in mind, we’ve been re-imagining events, involvement opportunities, and resources that we can provide to our community. Keep an eye on our chapter social media pages to make sure you’re seeing the latest as we post it:

Thank you all for your continued support of our mission, community, and staff.
