Our Virtual Gala Experience was a Success!

in

On Saturday, May 2nd, JDRF Western Wisconsin held our first virtual experience after having to re-imagine our Spring Gala due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the health and safety of our community. We held a silent auction for a few days leading up to the event, and then held a livestreamed Zoom gala, featuring our host Diana Henry. The event raised $240,000!

We want to take a moment to thank some of the people without whom this event would not be a success. Thank to to our Honoree Family, the Stephens, and congratulations on your Living and Giving Award in recognition of your dedication to JDRF. We had some very generous sponsors this year, including our Diamond Sponsor, WPS, who contributed $12,000 to the event. We also want to thank the Odorico Family, the Howell Family, the Hallick Family Foundation, and Bob Gorsuch, for their extremely generous Fund A Cure Gifts that put us so much closer to turning Type One into Type None.

If you won one of our auction items, we’re holding a contactless pickup afternoon at the office, 434 S. Yellowstone Dr., Suite 201, on Friday, May 15th from 12-5pm. If you plan to pick up your item during that time, please make sure you’ve signed up using our Google Form.

We hope you enjoyed the event! Please note that if you were unable to join us, but still want to contribute, you’re able to make a Fund A Cure gift at JDRFSpringGala.org.

Join us next year, for the Lights, Camera, Cure Spring Gala, Take 2! It will take place at the Monona Terrace on Saturday, March 27th, 2021.
