Introduction to the JDRF Mentor Program

in ,

The Mentoring Program assists us in achieving the Outreach Program goals. The objective of JDRF’s Mentoring Program is to provide support and resources to anyone living with type 1 diabetes. This includes newly diagnosed families and adults, long-time diagnosed adults as well as anyone living with the day-to-day challenges of diabetes.

The JDRF Mentor Program matches newly diagnosed individuals and families with others that live with diabetes. JDRF mentors are volunteers who have a personal connection to T1D and are the voices of experience and hope for those facing an unfamiliar lifestyle after diagnosis or dealing with any life stage changes. They have T1D themselves—or have a loved one affected by the disease. All of our mentors understand how overwhelming it can be to adapt to the daily demands of managing T1D—and they are here to help get you through it.

The JDRF Northeast WI Chapter would like to thank our mentors and mentor chair for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to helping local families in their journey. We are so excited to have all of these mentors be a part of this essential outreach program.
