JDRF Wisconsin has been lucky enough to benefit from successful 3rd party events over the past few months! We wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to raise money for JDRF.

 

DB’s for Diabetes Car Show 

July 31, Waupun 

DB’s For Diabetes hosted their annual car show, Wisconsin’s largest audio competition featuring some record setting vehicles! They hosted nearly 200 vehicles and raised over $10,000! 

 

 

 

Racine County Golf Outing 

August 27, Racine 

Racine County hosted a golf outing to benefit JDRF and Sophia’s Promise, a Wisconsin-based organization founded in 2011 dedicated to supporting newly diagnosed families through their Care Package Program, and raising funds for JDRF’s mission. The outing was incredibly successful and raised nearly $20,000 to be split between JDRF and Sophia’s Promise. 

Chickens 4 Charity 

September 18, Sussex 

The annual Chickens 4 Charity Double Divot Open outing is for the less serious golfer looking to have fun while giving back and benefits JDRF and The Special Friends Foundation (RTS).

 

Tee Up Fore the Cure 

September 20, Lake Geneva 

Tee Up Fore the Cure is an annual golf outing hosted by our partners at ITU AbsorbTech. This outing is a unique experience, with every foursome teamed up with a local sports celebrity!  This annual event supports JDRF and the Max McGee Center for Juvenile Diabetes Research at Children’s Wisconsin. This year’s featured celebrity was Junior Bridgeman, a highly successful fast-food entrepreneur who played 12 NBA seasons from 1975 to 1987, including 10 with the Milwaukee Bucks. Final total to JDRF is still being calculated, but we know it will make an impact! 

 

 

 

 

Double Down for Diabetes 

October 15, Bristol 

Hosted by our partners at Cordeck, this fun casino night and Texas Hold ‘Em tournament is fun for all! Final totals from the event are still being firmed up.

 

KMA Cares Golf Outing
October 4, Middleton
Originally scheduled in August, but moved to October due to extreme weather, the folks at KMA Accountants made the pivot and put on another great event to support type 1 research, raising $25,000 for JDRF!  

 

 

 

Balk Golf Outing 

This was the first year for this family run outing! Kaitlyn Balk said, “The reason I put this on and why it means so much to me, is because my daughter Charli Rae was diagnosed at age 2 1/2. November 13th of this year will mark 3 years for her being T1D. I will never stop fighting for her! I truly believe in her lifetime we will see something magical happen with diabetes!” They raised over $22,000 to support JDRF!

 

 

 

Racing for a Cure with JDRF

Luke Fenhaus and Luke Fenhaus Racing did a variety of different fundraisers during their 2021 racing season. Cumulatively they were able to raise more than $8,000!
