- Performance in Exercise and Knowledge (PEAK): An innovative, unique outreach available to physicians and allied healthcare professionals on Friday, December 1st, involved in the management of patients with T1D who exercise or wish to exercise. On Saturday, December 2nd, families will have the opportunity to learn more about how exercise affects people with T1D and their daily disease management as well as gain new tools and resources.

Join Us in Organizing the 2017 TypeOneNation Summit!
Join the JDRF Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter in organizing the upcoming 2017 TypeOneNation (TON) Summit that will be held on Saturday, December 2nd. The TypeOneNation Summit is an all-day educational experience that provides the opportunity to talk to the experts about research advances, meet with other families to exchange ideas, and participate in discussions important to you and your loved ones impacted by T1D.

T1D Community Connection Program – Join our Training in June!
Are you interested in connecting with individuals/families in a meaningful way to foster relationships by welcoming, supporting, guiding, and connecting them to the larger T1D community and JDRF? The Eastern PA Chapter is recruiting to train outreach volunteers to join the T1D Community Connections Program. Each Outreach Volunteer will be assigned a new family and will be asked to reach out to the family once a month for the first year of their diagnosis to engage and support the connection.
We are also in need of volunteers who are multi-lingual (Spanish, any Asian dialect, etc.). If you or someone you know are multi-lingual and have an interest in connecting with newly diagnosed families, this is the committee for you!
