National Diabetes Awareness Month 2023
Type 1 diabetes won’t stop us from moving forward.
November marks National Diabetes Awareness Month, a time when the world comes together to shed light on a chronic disease that affects millions. Moving Forward for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) unites us, urging everyone to join in and collectively stride towards a brighter, healthier future for those living with T1D.

Become an Advocate
Use your voice to help secure Federal funding for important diabetes research, inform health and regulatory policy, and improve the quality of life for those affected by T1D until we find cures.

Connect with T1D Experts and Peers
Join us on November 14th for our JDRF TypeOneNation Summit Virtual Session “T1D Across the Globe” perfect for all ages and stages of T1D. In recognition of #NationalDiabetesAwareness Month, this session will focus on progress in T1D management and innovations from JDRF and our global affiliates

Learn About T1D Screening
Being diagnosed with T1D means a lifetime of dependence on insulin and careful management to avoid dangerous blood-sugar highs and lows. Now, families can use testing to begin to determine their T1D risk, so they have time to plan, prepare and prevent serious complicatios from an unexpected diagnosis.

Support T1D Research through a JDRF Event
Help JDRF move cures Forward with every step you Walk or every mile you Ride or Run!

Participate in Research through Clinical Trials
The many advances in medical devices and treatments for people living with T1D exist thanks to clinical trials—a mission-critical part of our work at JDRF. JDRF makes participation easy with our Clinical Trials Connection online tool. Check it out for yourself and inspire others to do the same!
