T1D Connections Program: JDRF has a Mentor program that connects T1D Veterans with those who are newly diagnosed. Our T1D Connections volunteers have been trained and are paired with new families when requested. If you or your child has been dealing with T1D for a year or more and feel you could help other families and might want to be a T1D Connections Volunteer, please email lmeadows@jdrf.org for information on the next training.
If you are a family in need of additional support, please let us know and we’ll sure to connect you with one of our current Outreach Volunteers.

Youth Ambassador Program: If your child would still like to be involved in our Youth Ambassador Program and you and your child would like to volunteer at our JDRF Dream Gala on February 24th at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, please request a Youth Ambassador application from Laurie Meadows.

Networking Opportunities: Adult T1D’s meet regularly at the Panera in Lakewood the third Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16th at 6:30pm.
Parent Network Gatherings in Solon and North Canton are held at local Panera Breads. Solon’s next meeting is Wednesday, January 10 at 9am and North Canton’s will be held at Panera on the Strip on January 17th at 10:00a.m.
East Side Polo will meet at Our Lady of the Lake Parish Ministry on January 22nd from 6 to 8pm

Camp Ho Mita Koda: Save the Date of June 10th for this year’s Open House at Camp Ho Mita Koda in Newbury! Open House is a great way for new families to see camp and meet some of the camp staff. Returning families are also invited to attend and see new and exciting changes that camp will offer for the season. 2018 Camp Sessions will run from June 18th through July 27th.
