JDRF Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Report
As you’ll see in the pages of our fiscal year 2018 annual report, together, we are making incredible strides in our fight to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.
In fact, 2018 was one of the most exciting years yet for T1D research. We saw a staggering number of approvals by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), providing more treatment options for people with T1D–helping to keep them healthier and safer until we find a cure. JDRF-funded researchers across the globe made breakthrough discoveries in all of our program areas, improving lives today and setting the stage for the breakthroughs of tomorrow. Our advocacy victories secured millions in Federal funding for T1D research and achieved significant results in ensuring our community has access to the treatment options we need to stay alive.
The report also looks at the people making this possible. The go the extra mile types, or the drive research forward types. The JDRF community is strong because we aren’t defined by one type. We are parents, researchers, advocates, volunteers, fundraisers and more. We are all united by one common cause: To eradicate T1D once and for all.
