Our Government Day event is winding-down today in Washington, D.C.

It’s been an inspirational four days, which we’ll be chronicling in some detail starting tomorrow.

One of the event highlights was our roundtable with the diabetes bloggers in attendance.  We had a great discussion about a broad range of topics, from how to use social media effectively, to the issues that we feel are important, to how JDRF and the DOC can partner more effectively moving forward.  Please take a few minutes to watch the video of the roundtable event on our USTREAM channel.

Most of the minute-by-minute action has been tracked over on Twitter, under the hashtag #jdrfgovday, including some blog posts from across the DOC.  We’ve also started posting pictures on our Facebook fan page and just a small portion of our video content here on the blog congratulating our Advocate of the Year and our Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
