It has only been a few days since the launch of the 2011-12 Promise to Remember Me Campaign, and I am extremely excited to report that we are already 1/3 of the way to reaching our goal for the month of August! During this first month of the Campaign, we are aiming to schedule 100 meetings with Members of Congress, and Promise Campaign coordinators have already scheduled or held 33. At this rate, I know that we can not only meet our August goal, but possibly even surpass it!

While the campaign coordinators are scheduling these meetings, we need you to attend! Your stories of living with type 1 diabetes are the most important parts of the meetings. These stories are remembered by your Members of Congress once they return to Washington, D.C. and are making important decisions concerning diabetes issues. Meetings are already being held, so make sure that you don’t miss out and sign up on the Promise website to attend a meeting near you.
