We’ve Reached (And Surpassed!) 250!

I am extremely elated to tell you that as of this afternoon, we have surpassed our mid-Campaign goal of reaching 250 Promise meetings! Our aim was to schedule or hold that many meetings by December 31, so we have officially hit our mark one month early!

Meeting #250 is courtesy of the Advocacy team at the Oregon/SW WA Chapter, with Grassroots Leadership Team Member Michelle Freedman and Advocacy Team Chair Michelle Grinberg leading the way. The two Michelles, along with Campaign Coordinator Gail Wangenheim, worked tirelessly with other JDRF advocates to schedule a meeting with Finance Committee Member Senator Ron Wyden (OR). Congratulations to both Michelles, Gail, and the rest of the team in Oregon for being lucky number 250!

Reaching this milestone one month ahead of schedule is completely due to the hard work of volunteer advocates like you across the country. We could not have done it without you, and I know that the persistence I have seen throughout the Campaign thus far will continue until the May 1 deadline. So, on behalf of all of us here at JDRF Advocacy, thank you tremendously for your tireless efforts on behalf of all of those affected by type 1 diabetes!

The meeting count currently stands at 251, but we still have 181 Promise meetings left to go to reach our overall goal of 432! Can you help us get there? Send me an email at advocacy@jdrf.org, and we will make sure to get you started on how you can best help with the Promise Campaign efforts. Remember, we need YOU for 432!
