How to Get to 280
As I mentioned last week, since we hit our goal of 250 Promise meetings by December 31 one month early, we have a new goal!
However, reaching 280 meetings by the end of December is not going to be easy. Legislators are anticipating being in Washington until shortly before Christmas, and the holiday season is in full swing. We currently have 251 meetings scheduled or held, and to get to 280 we will need to schedule:
- 2 meetings per day
- 15 meetings per week
Scheduling 29 more meetings may seem like a daunting task along with all of your other obligations this month, but I can assure you that is it attainable! During the last Promise Campaign, we scheduled 31 meetings with Members of Congress in the same timeframe. One thing that may help is to remember that meetings only have to be scheduled during December to count toward this month’s total. That means that if you schedule a meeting with a legislator this week but it does not occur until January, it will count for December!
