T1Nation: How many years have you participated in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes?
2013 was our first year and was a great experience.  We had family and friends from around Nebraska and Kansas, and are looking forward to participating again!

T1Nation: To date, how much has your team raised?
We have raised $660.

T1Nation: What do you love most about the event?
I think everyone loved that the atmosphere was fun and lighthearted.  There were so many things for the kids to do, it was just really a great family event!

T1Nation:
Please share your tips on how others can get involved in joining/fundraising.
Since this is our first year, we did not try many different ways of fundraising, mostly just made sure we got to know our way around the event.  I think for the next event I will utilize the website suggestions for fundraising through Social Media as well as reaching out to more friends and family.  We hope to make the event an annual gathering for family!
