Calling all T1Ds ages 5-17! Coastal Carolina Chapter is excited to create its first year-long youth ambassador program.

Youth ambassadors (YAs) are the face of T1D and help educate the general public about Type 1 diabetes and JDRF’s mission to find a cure. The program will offer YAs speaking opportunities at corporate events and for media and government opportunities, as well as position them as leaders at our annual Walk and Gala.

Requirements:

• Must be a T1D between the ages of 5-17
• Attend and assist with One Walk, walk kickoff event, and Hope Gala
• Attend outreach events such as Family Picnic (August) and Kite Flying at the Beach (April)
• Speak to media outlets and government officials about T1D and JDRF.
• Attend 3 meetings per year, with leadership positions available
