Thank you to our Promise To Remember Me Arizona volunteers!

The JDRF 2020 Promise to Remember Me campaign came to a close last month, and we ended this effort on a high note! Over the course of the last two months, JDRF staff had the privilege of partnering with the most passionate group of advocates there is, witnessing jaw-dropping persistence, dedication, and resourcefulness! Our inspiring group of Advocacy leaders secured 400+ virtual meetings across 46 states, and met with more than 75 percent of all Congressional offices. Advocacy Team Chairs Kim Lonsway and Paul Stearns led the charge in Arizona securing nine meetings with U.S. legislators, which provided an opportunity for local families to share their powerful T1D stories. During these meetings, they talked about the impacts of T1D and advocated for continued Federal research funding through the Special Diabetes Program (SDP), and policies that support affordability, choice, and coverage of diabetes management drugs and devices. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of this campaign, and the work of our Advocacy leaders will continue to strengthen JDRFā€™s relationship with our T1D champions on Capitol Hill. Please join us in thanking Kim, Paul, and our incredible network of advocates, and congratulating them on a tremendously successful Promise campaign!
