One Walk down, two more to go!

in ,

We could certainly feel the energy and excitement in the air this past Sunday at our first fall JDRF Walk, JDRF One Walk Bucks County! The type 1 diabetes (T1D) community truly rallied together as over 3,000 walkers—including families, volunteers, and corporate partners—joined forces at Warminster Community Park to raise awareness and funds for T1D research.

Thanks to the generosity of so many, we are making extraordinary advances in lessening the impact of T1D and improving the lives of those living with the disease—but we can’t stop now. Please join us to continue progress in this life-changing work by reaching out to your personal and professional network to ask for a donation to support our shared mission of creating a world without T1D.

Here are a few ideas on how to maintain the momentum!

  • Share your Walk Day experience with your friends, colleagues, and family.
  • Email your contacts and ask them to continue supporting you by making another donation.
  • Ask your child’s school if they would host a JDRF fundraiser.
  • Ask your employer to host a fundraiser.

Missed last weekend’s Walk? There’s still time to get involved with JDRF One Walk!

JDRF One Walk is a fun, family-friendly event where dedicated walkers, volunteers, and sponsors raise money to make living with T1D safer and healthier until a cure is found. As the largest T1D event in the world, our One Walk program also offers an amazing experience filled with activities and entertainment—a celebration of coming together to change the future for everyone living with this disease. All funds raised at JDRF One Walk events go toward the JDRF mission.

We invite you to join us by registering and fundraising for an upcoming One Walk event:

JDRF One Walk Allentown • THIS SUNDAY, October 7 • PPL Center in Allentown, PA

JDRF One Walk Philadelphia • Sunday, October 28 • Philadelphia Art Museum

Can’t make it? Please consider making a donation to one of the Walks to support T1D research.
