On Monday, June 17^th, the JDRF Georgia Chapter held its 5^th Annual Tee Up for Diabetes event presented by Georgia Natural Gas. Golfers enjoyed a gorgeous day featuring 18 holes at one of the South’s premier courses and participated in some fun contests, including Beat the Pro with retired professional Emee Herbert. A big thank you to all our sponsors and foursome hosts for helping to make this year’s event our most successful to date, raising nearly $175,000 for the JDRF mission.

A special thank you to Georgia Natural Gas for serving as presenting sponsor for the 5^th year running. They have contributed over $125,000 through their participation, making a major impact on our mission.

We would also like to thank this year’s tournament host, Dr. Byron Williams, and recognize the 2019 Tee Up for Diabetes Committee: Jeff Brown (co-chair), John Kampfe (co-chair), Ben Turnipseed Jr., Eddie Macchia, Neil Davies, Quincy Jones, and Ted Williams. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of these volunteer leaders, the tournament saw record numbers and participation.
