2019 Ride Season Highlights & Save the Date for the 2020 Ride Season!

Ride to Cure Diabetes continues to be one of the JDRF Georgia Chapter’s fastest growing programs, and the 2019 Season did not disappoint! This year, 72 riders participated in 5 events across the country and raised a record breaking $360,000 (and counting!). Highlights from the season include:

 

  • 18 NEW riders completed events in 2019
  • Georgia riders raised $100,000 over the 2018 season total
  • Georgia was the #2 top fundraising chapter at this year’s Sonoma Ride

Save the Date for the 2020 Ride Season

 

The Georgia Chapter invites you to get in on the action and register for a 2020 Ride event! The Ride isn’t just a bike ride: it’s where individuals of all ages and skill levels come together to make new friendships, experience unparalleled comradery and raise money to find a cure for T1D. With 5 incredible event locations to choose from, including a brand new ride in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 2020 is one season you will not want to miss!

Meet First Time Riders – The McClatcheys!

Anne and Penn McClatchey completed their first JDRF Ride in 2019 in Death Valley, CA. As parents of 3 sons with T1D, the McClatcheys first became involved with JDRF after their son, Mason, was diagnosed in 1995. Flash forward to 2019 and the two road a combined 200+ miles in Death Valley and raised $16,000 for JDRF! To learn more about their Ride story, click here.
