Your Child Could Represent Georgia at the JDRF 2017 Children’s Congress

in ,

Applications to participate in JDRF 2017 Children’s Congress are now available at: http://cc.jdrf.org. JDRF 2017 Children’s Congress, our tenth biennial event held for children aged 4-17 living with type 1 diabetes (T1D), will take place in Washington, D.C. from July 24 – 26, 2017. More than 160 children from across the country will have the unique and empowering opportunity to share their story of living with T1D to Members of Congress to help them understand why research for better treatments and a cure for T1D is so important.

Why should you apply for JDRF Children’s Congress 2017? In addition to explaining what it is like living with T1D during meetings with Members of Congress and their staff, you’ll meet other kids with T1D from across the country and hear from our Role Model Town Hall panel members, who are also living with T1D.

If you are interested in applying to represent our JDRF Georgia Chapter by participating in JDRF 2017 Children’s Congress, you must first complete an online application by December 1, 2016. Applications are available at: http://cc.jdrf.org/apply. Children must be between the ages of 4 and 17 at the time of the event.

Help us create a world without type 1 diabetes by speaking up and sharing your personal story in Washington, D.C.!
