Day 27 – Meet Mason

in

My name is Mason and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 4 years old. Every day my family and I work hard so that my diabetes does not affect the things I want to do that other kids my age are doing. I love to play sports and am very active. This can be a challenge for me because my blood sugar can drop and I will go low. I wear an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor so that I can manage my diabetes well each day.

Since I was diagnosed, my family and I have become very active with JDRF through the walk and other fundraising events we have organized. Together with the help of our friends and family, we have raised almost $250,000 in the past 4 years. I want to do whatever I can to raise money so that one day we can find a cure for this disease or find a way to make living with T1D easier.

Please consider making a Fund A Cure donation in honor of Mason and others living with T1D by clicking here.
