Ace for a Cure began in 2005 at Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia, created by Timmi and Jim Vesci, whose daughter has type 1 diabetes.Ā The Vesci Family wanted to rally their tennis community together and raise much-needed research funds for JDRF. The tournaments have since expanded to include events at some of the countryā€™s most distinguished cricket clubs.
